The Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act requires that anyone planning on digging must first locate underground utilities.  Underground utilities include items such as: Electrical Wires, Water Pipes, Sewage Lines, Gas Lines, Telephone, and  Cable TV. They can be dangerous and because they are hidden from view - it is difficult to know where they are.

Collingwood Utility Services will at no charge (subject to limited restrictions) arrange a hydro and water locate on your property. This can prevent not only costly repairs, but can also be a life saver.

 

Please allow five full business days for requested locates to be complete.  We will respond to emergency locates as required.
