Tips for selecting a home comfort contractor

  1. Look for a licensed and experienced professional who is registered as a participating Save on Energy contractor.
  2. Review the manufacturer's warranty and maintenance agreement.
  3. Confirm your contractor has liability insurance.
  4. Be sure to select an ENERGY STAR® certified unit.
  5. Get several quotes and ask for references.

Home comfort incentives available

More than 60% of your home’s annual energy use goes to heating and cooling. Reduce energy use, improve home comfort and live greener when you upgrade to a high-efficiency system. Money-saving rebates are available!

Depending on the model you choose, you can get:

AHRI Certification Directory
$600 for a qualified
air conditioner

Heating & Cooling Incentive Organization | Save on Energy
$250 for a high efficiency
natural gas, propane, electric
or oil furnace, and up to $4,000
for a qualified ENERGY STAR®
air-source heat pump for
electrically heated homes.

*Plus incentives of $50 for a qualifying adaptive thermostat and $30 for an ECM circulator pump*

How to get your incentive

Follow these steps:

Step 1 - Find a Participating Contractor
Work with a participating contractor to purchase and install your new equipment before December 31, 2018.
Step 2 - Purchase and Install an ENERGY STAR certified furnace or air conditioner
Your contractor must submit your online rebate form by February 1, 2019.
Step 3 - Your contractor will complete the incentive forms
Email your proof of purchase or mail it to Save on Energy Incentives
30 Commercial Rd.
Toronto, ON M4G 1Z4 by February 28, 2019.
Step 4 - Receive your incentive cheque in the mail
Receive your incentive cheque in the mail in approximately 4 to 8 weeks.
